Now Your Guests Can Bet From Any Browser
No download, no friction. Wedding guests can now join Betting on the Wedding straight from their browser.
When we built Betting on the Wedding, we set out to turn weddings into the kind of shared, hilarious, group experience guests would talk about for years. The mobile app has done that beautifully for thousands of weddings. And throughout the years, we've kept listening.
One piece of feedback came up again and again. While most guests happily install the app, some don't. Maybe they're on a borrowed phone, low on storage, app-fatigued, or just hesitant to download something new for a single weekend. And honestly, we get it.
We've always believed (and still do) that the app is a quick, safe, and worthwhile install. The sign-up takes seconds, the experience is smoother, and the push notifications mean nobody misses a called bet. But "worthwhile" is in the eye of the beholder. We didn't want to lose the guest who was excited to play but wasn't excited to install. We wanted to meet every wedding guest exactly where they are.
So today we're launching the Betting on the Wedding web experience.
It's a faithful mirror of the guest flow you already know from the mobile app. Same predictions, same live leaderboard, same wrap-up at the end. Same fun. Just no install required.
When a host shares their invite link, guests can choose how they want to play. The "Get the app" option still gets them the best experience. The new "Continue on Web" option drops them straight into the wedding pool in their browser. They can sign in with Google, Apple, or email, place their picks, track the leaderboard live, and handle their share of the winnings or losses at the end.
The mobile app isn't going anywhere. For most guests it's still the smoothest path. But for the holdouts (you know the ones), there is now a no-friction way to get them in the game.
